Need a tool for a few days, not a lifetime?

Becoming a member of The Brighton Tool Library provides access to a huge collection of tools in exchange for a small monthly (or annual) fee.

Borrowing works just like a regular library  --  except you can borrow tools (and other stuff).

Simply drop by our shop in Kemptown, grab what you need for your next project, borrow for a week, and bring them back, all clean ready for the next borrower.

Thousands of tools are available  --  from drills & pressure washers, to sewing machines & saws all FREE to borrow to members (with no additional fees)

Memberships are available to everyone (over 18+)  --  plus options for businesses and community groups (email us)

We have four membership options;

  • Herald

  • Advocate

  • Protector

  • Champion

Just like a regular library - you need to join, in order to borrow.

So sign up, choose a membership*, pay your fee and start borrowing today!

* Non-Member Options are also available
